We’re On the Other Side of the AI Debate | Eating Mushrooms with Lady Ambrosia

For years, we’ve produced the psychedelic eye candy videos for every release only to find them buried in the obscure underbelly of YouTube because they were not posted in 4k. There’s something about the hyper-compressed, pixel-perfection of new productions that robs the art of the aesthetic that hard-links the audio to the mind’s imagination. Suppose the goal is to override that imagination to trick our minds into consuming more of the next fast food-style content drop.

The algorithm requires a sacrifice to continue.

For our next single, I begrudgingly experimented with our first foray into the world of AI and am surprised with the new medium. I constantly debate with myself on whether or not using AI is a sort of cheat code to creating art and feel like I’m finally on the other side of the debate. While it’s certainly possible for AI to be used as a cheat, it has unlocked new tools to produce art in ways I never envisioned before. Like discovering a new color or a new sound, it’s impossible to not use it as a valuable and vital tool in helping creators realize their visions.

For this video in particular, the weirdest and most trippy parts of my imagination are unlocked through my own words, bringing my imagination to life in ways that exceed what thought possible.
